Editorial policy
Clear Food Journal aims to explain food information accurately, plainly and with appropriate limits. We distinguish what a label states from what a reader might infer, and we revise our work when a material error is identified.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, definitions and explanations against appropriate source material before publication. We use precise wording, make uncertainty visible, and avoid turning a general explanation into personal dietary or medical advice. Readers should not treat our editorial content as a substitute for advice tailored to their circumstances.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader understanding. Commercial relationships do not determine our conclusions, category coverage or article recommendations. Where a relationship is relevant to a piece, we identify it clearly in the content.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains a factual error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the passage and the reason for concern. We review correction requests and update material errors, making the change clear where appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence; when they are, that use is identified with the illustration.
