Write for us

Clear Food Journal considers pitches that help general readers understand food labels, ingredient information, packaging language or the choices those details can support. Send proposals through the Contact page.

What we welcome

We are interested in focused explainers, comparisons, historical context and close readings of food-packaging language. A strong proposal names one reader question, explains why it matters and shows what the article will clarify.

What to include

Describe the proposed angle, the main points you would cover and why you are suited to address them. Flag any relevant commercial connection or potential conflict. A proposal should be specific enough to distinguish it from a broad overview of food or nutrition.

Editorial boundaries

We do not seek promotional copy, unsupported health claims or material that presents personal medical advice as general guidance. A pitch is not a guarantee of publication, and any commissioned work is subject to editorial review.

How to send a pitch

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Include your proposed title or topic, a concise summary and a way for us to reply. Please do not send confidential personal information.
